Its breadth is both geographic, in that it is a global discipline, and functional, in that it involves transactions between suppliers and demanders of funds. Because of ongoing developments in technology, new legislation, and other innovations, the field is rapidly changing. Virtually everyone is directly impacted by the field of finance.
