The World Is An Apartment

The World is an Apartment is a translation of Dunia Adalah Sebuah Apartmen – one of the anthologies published in Siri Kumpulan Cerpen Pilihan Abad ke-20 – which comprises twenty short stories written by the 10th National Laureate, Anwar Ridhwan; these short stories were previously featured in a number of periodical publications such as Dewan Sastera, Dewan Masyarakat and Berita Minggu. The heterogeneity of characters and facets of life captured in the present book are the creative portrayal from the author’s surroundings, reflecting the representations, aspirations and world views from different cultural backgrounds by which he was influenced.
